Nuqul Automotive has organized an open day in collaboration with the Zikra Initiative featuring wire cars and bicycles produced by children from Ghor Al Mazra'ah. The cars were made during an earlier organized workshop at the Nuqul Automotive's Service Center in Naour. The open day was held at the showroom near the 7thcircle on Tuesday January 31th2012.
In total, children exhibited 27 cars constructed from simple materials found in their surrounding area such as cans, wires and remnants of unneeded equipment in addition to 25 wire bicycles. The open day included a free workshop on how such cars and bicycles are made.
On this occasion The CEO of Nuqul Automotive Mr. Marwan Nuqul said: "The cooperation with Zikra Initiative is one of Nuqul Automotive's social responsibility initiatives for this year and aims to support the children of Ghor Al Mazra'ah by developing their skills in a friendly atmosphere while promoting creativity and innovation".
Mr. Rabie Zureikat, the founder of Zikra Initiative commented: "We are happy for the support that Nuqul Automotive has offered the children. This support is what made us launch such an initiative seeking to discover the children's abilities and strengthen their self-confidence to apply these abilities in improving their living conditions".It is also worth mentioning that the cars and bicycles were offered for sale and the revenue generated was directed towards the development of projects for the children of Gore Al Mazra'ah. The open day was attended by members of the Nuqul Automotive team as well as a number of interested guests and journalists.
