Meera Kaul - Reader's Choice VAD of the year award
Optimus Technology and Telecommunications, a leading regional Value Added Distributor (VAD) of IT and telecommunications products, announced that it has won three awards this year from independent juries instituted by leading technology publishers in the region. The distributor was recognized for its value-added services, partner programmes, loyalty programmes, channel growth initiatives, training programmes, support services and strong commitment to its vendors, channel partners and customers.
Optimus won the Network Middle East Innovation Awards 2012 for the ‘Best Networking Distributor’ category and the Reseller Middle East Partner Excellence Awards 2012 for the ‘Reader Choice Value Added Distributor of the year’ category. Earlier this year, Optimus also won the Editor’s choice ‘Fastest growing VAD of the year’ by VAR magazine at their Choice of the Channel awards 2012.

Optimus’ Managing Director, Ms. Meera Kaul was also honoured at the Reseller Middle East Partner Excellence Awards 2012 with the ‘Women Executive of the year’ award for her role in bringing about innovation to the Value distribution model and the Middle East channel ecosystem. Ms. Kaul is well-known amongst the IT and channel community for her achievements in such a short span of time in the technology and networking space.
Over the last four years, Ms. Kaul has been instrumental in growing Optimus’ business across the Middle East and Africa by signing on leading global vendors to their portfolio as well as introducing several value-added services, which helped Optimus stand out from other Value Added Distributors in the region. Optimus also penetrated the market with products that haven’t traditionally been sold in the Middle East region. She can be credited with putting together a strong team of technically qualified professionals with the skills, knowledge and expertise in the IT domain.
