Oxford Business Group (OBG), the global publishing, research and consultancy firm, has sealed a further year of partnership with the law firm Ali Sharif Zu’bi Advocates and Legal Consultants for its latest report on Jordan’s economic development and opportunities.
The report, which marks OBG’s tenth publication on the Kingdom, will see Zu’bi Advocates collaborate with the Group’s research and editorial team to produce the Law Chapter of The Report: Jordan 2012.
OBG’s forthcoming business guide will explore the extensive reforms under way in Jordan while providing key analysis of the government’s development programme which will lay the foundations for attracting increased investment. It will also contain a detailed, sector-by-sector guide for foreign investors, alongside a wide range of interviews with the most prominent political, economic and business leaders.
Zu’bi Advocates offers a range of legal services in Jordan and at its associated offices worldwide. Its practice areas include banking and finance, construction, employment and labour, taxation, privatisation and project finance.
OBG’s Country Director Miranda Stobbs welcomed Zu’bi Advocates on board, saying she was confident the law firm would make a valuable contribution to the Group’s information-gathering process as its team prepared to document Jordan’s changing business environment.
“Jordan is introducing a wide range of constitutional amendments and new banking regulations, while also moving its major infrastructure projects forward,” she said. “Zu’bi Advocates’ experts have an in-depth understanding of the legislative changes which are a key component of Jordan’s reform programme. The firm also has its finger on the pulse of the Kingdom’s efforts to participate in the development of Iraq, which we will be exploring. I am delighted to be teaming up with them for this landmark report.”
Managing Partner at Zu’bi Advocates Khaled Asfour added that OBG’s 2012 report would play an important role in keeping investors updated as Jordan’s reforms begin making their mark on the country’s business landscape.
“Oxford Business Group fills an important niche by offering foreign investors an excellent introduction to Jordan and giving them the most up to date data available on the Kingdom’s development,” he said. “We are proud of our long-standing association with the Group, which is known to lead the way on emerging economies, and look forward to continuing this collaboration on this important publication.”
The Report: Jordan 2012 will mark the culmination of more than six months of on-the-ground research by a team of analysts from OBG. It will provide information on opportunities for foreign direct investment into Jordan’s economy and will act as a guide to the many facets of the Kingdom including its macroeconomics, infrastructure, banking and sectoral developments. The Report: Jordan 2012 will be available in print form or online.
