For the ninth consecutive year, PepsiCo-Jordan marked the blessed occasion of Eid Al-Fitr by organizing a celebration for 300 children from orphanages across the Kingdom. In what has become an annual tradition, the festivities were held at the Haya Cultural Center on Thursday 7 July, 2016, the second day of Eid.
A number of PepsiCo-Jordan employees volunteered to take part, sharing in the children’s joy and participating alongside them in various recreational, artistic and educational activities, including competitions, games, face-painting and balloon animals. The children were also presented with toys and gifts, and shared a lunch meal within a fun and jovial atmosphere.
“One of the many social activities organized by the Company, this annual tradition reflects our commitment to upholding our responsibility toward the entire community, and toward this segment of children in particular,” said PepsiCo-Jordan General Manager, Eng. Nidal Hamam. “Through this celebration, we aim to strengthen the bonds of social solidarity that our Company has worked to build, as well as to continue to engage with orphans and share in their happiness, as we believe that these children have the right to enjoy their childhoods just like other children.”
