PepsiCo-Jordan welcomed a delegation of prominent PepsiCo International executives on Thursday 2nd February, 2012. The delegation was headed by Mr. Saad Abdul-Latif, CEO for PepsiCo Asia, Middle East and Africa.
Mr. Abdul-Latif inaugurated the opening of PepsiCo-Jordan’s new warehouse project, which is one of the most important projects being implemented by the Company during 2011 and 2012 towards transforming PepsiCo-Jordan’s factory in Marka into a ‘Mega DC - Plant’ under PepsiCo International’s guidelines.
A total of USD 4 million was invested into the project, adding 5,000 square meters of warehouse space and 13,000 square meters of unloading space. The delegation’s visit included a tour of the Company’s headquarters, various departments and the new truck loading/unloading and parking location.
“I would like to thank PepsiCo International for this visit and their interest in inaugurating our new warehouses. We are confident that our new warehouse project will help us better serve our customers in line with our vision to maintain our advanced position in the local market and our standing as one of the best companies in the food and beverage industry in the Kingdom,” said PepsiCo-Jordan's General Manager Ahmed El Sheikh.
In turn, Mr. Abdul-Latif and other members of the delegation thanked PepsiCo-Jordan for their hospitality. They also commended the Company’s efforts on each of their ongoing projects and wished them continued success in the future.
