Royal Philips Electronics (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHI) announced its participation as a Keynote Sponsor during the 3^rd Annual Concept Middle East Summit, which is taking place in Doha on the 22^nd and 23^rd of February.

The event is a customized, professional design platform, targeting Interior designers, architects, construction consultants, city municipalities and government authorities.

During the event, Mr. Abdo Rouhana – Head of Philips Lighting University Middle East, will present ‘the benefits of LED Technology’. The session will cover the different indoor and outdoor uses of LED innovations, its trends and its biological, as well as psychological effects in applications like Hospitals and Schools. 

“The uses of LED solutions are vast, and the differences it can make are huge. LED innovation can distinguish offices, beautify outdoor spaces, provide hotels with a unique ambience while reducing carbon emission, saving energy and lowering costs”, say Paolo Cervini – General Manager of Philips Lighting Middle East & Turkey. 

“For example, the world of offices and people’s working lives are rapidly changing. LED lighting offers great support for these changes, such as: freedom of shape and design, use of colors, dynamic effects, and creating spaces for enhanced people comfort and well-being”, he adds. 

Philips LED innovations are also used in Schools and Hospitals to improve biological and psychological effects. People who have to stay in the hospital often feel anxious, and many times not at ease. This could make examination processes more difficult and time consuming. Philips LED lighting can create more colorful and soft ambiences that makes the environment seem less clinical, which is beneficial for both, how people feel and for the quality and speed of the diagnosis process.

In addition, Philips’ Dynamic LED Lighting is also a solution that brings the benefits of daylight into an environment. In schools, this type of lighting positively influences students’ behavior and concentration while reducing hyperactivity, helping teachers improve the learning process.
