Ahmad Al Harthy recently provided his winning touch to the launch of convenient new payment services for mutual customers of Nawras and National Bank of Oman (NBO). The Brand Ambassador for both companies joined Raed Dawood, Nawras Department Head of Business Development and Harshdeep Munjal, NBO General Manager – Retail & Private Banking, as the new agreement was signed, signalling the start of greater benefits for customers.
With the launch of real time electronic recharge, all Nawras customers with NBO accounts, can now conveniently recharge their accounts and pay their mobile bills using SMS, internet and mobile banking channels.
To begin using SMS banking, customers can complete the simple SMS service registration by making a free call to 80077077 or sending RT by SMS to 90303.
Following registration, customers recharge by sending the keyword TN together with the amount to be credited, to 90303. For example, to recharge a balance with RO 5, an SMS with TN 5 should be sent to 90303. Payment for the mobile credit is deducted from the customer’s bank account.
Customers can also recharge or pay bills for friends or family members using this SMS service. For example, to pay 5 Omani Rials for another customer with the mobile number of 9XXXXXX8, an SMS with TN 5 9XXXXXX8 should be sent to 90303. In this instance, the credit would be made in favour of the customer with mobile number 9XXXXXX8 and the payment would be deducted from the sender’s bank account.
