The management and staff of Ramada Hotel & Suites Ajman, a premier destination for business and leisure travellers, are beaming with pride after being honoured the Best Hotel with Charity Initiatives in 2012, besting other properties under the Wyndham Hotel Group in the EMEA region.
The property was recognised for its noteworthy CSR activities such as the drive to help the famine-stricken people of Somalia with the property donating AED50,000 to the Human International UAE in Ajman; the “Fashion with Passion” event where AED50,000 was donated to the children with disabilities supported by the Ajman Club for Handicapped; voluntary donations to flood victims in Pakistan and the Philippines; blood donation campaigns and clothes donation to Africa twice a year.
Iftikhar Hamdani, General Manager, Ramada Ajman Hotel & Suites, personally received the award in London where he attended the annual Wyndham Group Hotel EMEA Awards Event. Ramada Hotel and Suites Ajman was also nominated as Best Green Hotel in EMEA for their different environmental efforts, including its zero landfill initiative, year-round water and energy conservation practices, beach cleaning drive, environmental awareness campaign for staff and guests, and participation in the worldwide observance of Earth Day and Earth Hour. The property has also been consistently getting 100% rate on Wyndham Green’s quality audit by Wyndham Hotel Group.
