The Roads and Transportation Authority "RTA" has honored Emirates General Petroleum Corporation "Emarat" upon as the "Best Partner", represented by Shamil Services for Vehicles Testing and Registration.
The honoring took place during an event organized by RTA for the establishments and companies that won in the fourth cycle of RTA Safety Awards 2012, which is given annually to the Best Strategic Partner, Best Consultant and Best Contractor. All winners should be applying the best practices to ensure vocational safety in their different projects and construction sites.
His Excellency Matar Al Tayer, RTA's CEO and chairman, handed the award to Mr. Fahad Bu Samrah, Head of Shamil Supervisors, and Mr. Ahmed bin Hammad, Health Safety and Environment Officer at Emarat.
HE Al Tayer said that the Safety Award is one of the RTA's leading awards that aim to honor consultants and strategic partners who are contributing in the support and enhancement of good practices relating to health and vocational and environmental safety.
He further added that all the awards categories are evaluated on the grounds of specific technical criteria and in accordance with the best international practices. The evaluation is carried out by a specialized team comprising members from the different departments at RTA, in addition to others.
Mr. Ahmed bin Hammad and Mr. Fahad bu Samrah presented the award to Dr. Rahma bin Mohamed Al Shamsi, Retail Sales Manager at Emarat, who expressed his gratitude and pride for this accomplishment which was realized by Shamil centers, and he praised the efforts exerted by all those working at Shamil.
