Samsung Electronics Levant celebrated recently with the Samsung Media Family members its success and achievements for the year 2011. The end of year and fourth media family gathering was held at the Amman Sheraton Hotel on Tuesday the 19th of December, 2011.
The event included presentations featuring Samsung’s latest technologies from the Home Appliances division, and Digital imaging products, in addition to presentations showcasing the smart products that were launched in the Jordanian market throughout the year.
Samsung highlighted during the event the many achievements it had reached throughout the year, one of which Samsung has emerged as a leading corporation among the top five around the world, with one of the highest growth rates in international market shares. This growth was attributed to the increasing demand on its smart products, home entertainment and appliances, IT products, mobile phones and tablets.
During the event Samsung also gave the media family members the latest developments on the “Hope for Children” initiative, which recently included visits to SOS villages in Amman and Irbid in Jordan and in Lebanon. The global initiative which was launched in Jordan, Syria and Lebanon in June of 2010, aims at highlighting the importance of giving underprivileged children better education and health benefits, which all falls in line with Samsung’s corporate social responsibility strategy.
Concluding the festive night, guests enjoyed comedic sketches by Jordanian stand up comedians Yousef Shweihat and Mike Dardrian. The hilarious sketches were derived from day to day activities and how technology has touched the daily lives.
