Samsung Electronics Levant, global leader and innovation award winner in electronics and digital media, recently hosted a specialized workshop for mobile applications development. The workshop which was held at the Sheraton Hotel, hosted guests from local programming companies, information technology leaders, university students and mobile applications development companies.
Hosting the workshop, Samsung aimed to increase awareness on Samsung’s Apps store among enthusiasts in the field and highlight its platform features and collaboration applications.
Starting the day-long event, Samsung gave a presentation on smart phone applications, market trends, and Samsung application systems and the business opportunities it presents to the local development companies. The presentation also included an illustration on the Bada 2.0 platform, which is the platform for the highly anticipated and requested Samsung mobile phones from the Wave family.
Commenting on the workshop, Mr. Hadi Jadallah, R&D manager at Samsung Electronics Levant, said, “We at Samsung Levant believe in the potential of local mobile applications and information technology companies. And we are confident in their capabilities to develop unique and original smart phone applications, based on our advanced platforms.” He also added, “The workshop is the perfect venue to learn first-hand about Samsung’s advanced technologies and the applications it allows them to develop to satisfy the needs of the Jordanian consumer.”
During the workshop, Samsung presented to the attendees with its latest innovation in the smart phone, the GALAXY Note, and gave them the opportunity to experience its unique features, starting from its combination between a smart phone and a tab.
The workshop was concluded with a presentation on the latest release to the Android system, the Ice Cream Sandwich, which is the certified system by Google’s smart phone, the Galaxy Nexus, designed to highlight Samsung’s smart phones capabilities and features.
