Tetra Pak, the world leader in food processing and packaging solutions with a production facility in Jeddah and Sales and Technical offices in the main GCC countries, is the main sponsor of the 2nd edition of the Arab Beverages Conference and Exhibition 2012 (ABCE), which is being held at the Al Qasr Ballroom, Hilton Hotel, Jeddah, KSA.
To mark its premier attendance of ABCE, Tetra Pak will showcase 25 new innovative products from around the world. Along with showcasing its newest products, Tetra Pak’s senior officials will be presenting on both days.
Tetra Pak’s Environment Manager, Mohamed Angawi, will address topics related to ‘Recycling: Tetra Pak experiences in the Middle East.’ The presentation will provide information and details on Tetra Pak’s recycling efforts in the region, and the opportunities and challenges faced by them.
Mohamed Angawi’s colleague and Tetra Pak’s Director of Processing, Sergey Volkov, will shed light on the topic of ‘Innovative processing solutions for the beverage industry,’ including Tetra Pak’s latest innovations in the processing industry, and how these solutions improve operational efficiency and enable cost savings.
Riccardo Castagnetti, Marketing Manager of Tetra Pak Arabia, said: “ABCE leads the growth in development of the region’s beverage industry. It is a great privilege for Tetra Pak to be part of such an important event. ABCE allows Tetra Pak to highlight its motive to ‘protect what’s good,’ and express our commitment to delivering quality and innovative packaging solutions to our customers to help protect their product.”
“Tetra Pak’s concept of protection extends beyond offering customers innovative packaging; it encompasses the protection of consumers by offering them a safe product that keeps the quality longer with no preservatives, the protection of the environment through Tetra Pak’s recycling efforts, and finally by protecting the customer’s brand by ensuring a high quality product is delivered consistently,” added Riccardo.
ABCE is being organised by the Arab Federation for Food Industries, Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and the Arab Beverages Association chaired by Mr Monther T. Al Harthi.
The two day event brings together the Chamber of Commerce, Industry of Agriculture for Arab Countries, relevant Arab Ministries, Industrial and Agricultural organisations, companies specialised in beverages, and packaging and packing companies.
