United Development Company (UDC), a leading Qatari shareholding company and the master developer of The Pearl-Qatar, is the Sliver Sponsor of the 30th GCC Traffic Week, held at Darb ElSaei, Khalifa City new Traffic Administration, March 9 to 15, 2014.
The one-week traffic rules and regulation awareness event aims to inform the public in Qatar about safety rules, measures and practices used in Qatar and expected to be recognized and/or followed by nationals and expatriates residing and working in the State of Qatar.
“Safety is our highest priority and we are proud to be this event’s silver sponsors,” said Director of The Pearl-Qatar Operations Saeed Al- Sulaiti. “This traffic rules and regulation awareness campaign makes common sense by engaging the public and consequently improving safety for every traveler on our highways and roads.”
Throughout the seven-day event, United Development Company will actively participate with an exhibition booth attended and managed by HSE representatives who will conduct briefing presentations on safety measures and regulations in use at The Pearl-Qatar. Visitors to the UDC booth can also learn about health and safety facilities and services at The Pearl-Qatar, security efforts and plans that are currently underway on the Island.
The week will open Sunday at 6 p.m. with a ceremony unveiling the week’s motto “Your Safety is our Aim” and will include opening tours of the different booths and exhibition programs planned for the following days. Second day programs, tours, workshops and other activities are scheduled from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., with a break planned daily between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
The Pearl-Qatar, which prominently displays its own traffic safety measures during the event, is an up-scale residential community and a secure island retreat that brings the ambience and lifestyle of the Mediterranean to the heart of Arabia. It is Qatar’s first international real estate venture offering true freehold investment opportunities to international buyers.
Developed by United Development Company (UDC), the Island is located 350 meters offshore of Doha’s prestigious West Bay District and is one of the largest real-estate developments in the Gulf.
