Unilever Food Solutions organized and concluded The Chef of the year regional contest by awarding Paul Bussey with the title. The event was held at the Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management in Dubai and witnessed a nail-biting competition among the contestants in which Paul grabbed the award for the best recipes at the event. Paul Bussey serves as the Executive Sous Chef at Bonnington Hotel in Dubai. Maxime Le Van and Georgiy Daniloff secured the 2nd and 3rd positions respectively at the event.
Each contestant had to cook a starter, a main course as well as a dessert where all courses needed to serve three people. Besides this, each competing chef was given a mystery basket to try out their culinary skills using UFS products. The contestants were judged on number of UFS products used, innovation of UFS products, originality of recipes, difficulty and skill required for fusion of flavours, portion obedience, presentation, methods and techniques.

Paul will be heading to Johannesburg, South Africa in September to take part of the final competition.
