Foot Volley originated in 1965 in Brazil, on Rio de Janeiro's famous Copacabana Beach. The game originally was invented as a training exercise for soccer players, who began using volleyball nets as part of their practice. Today, FootVolley is among one of the fastest growing popular sports. It is played according to the same rules as beach volleyball, but without using hands. The game manages to attract many international football stars, especially Brazilians, most notably Romario and Ronaldo.
