His Excellency HeshamAbdulla AlQassim, wasl’s Chief Executive Officer, received the award fromDenis Ives, Regional Manager of Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance Limited (LRQA), an independent certification body specialized in auditing corporate business and security systems.
His Excellency Al Qassim said: "The ISO 27001 accreditation confirms our status as a company capable of achieving internationally recognised standards. It also reflects wasl’s commitment to providing both the highest levels of service to customers and the assurance of optimum security to third parties through ensuring we have an efficient and well-controlled environment.”

The ISO 27001 standard is designed to ensure the selection of adequate and proportionate security controls that protect information assets and provide confidence to stakeholders. The standard builds a framework for Information Security Management System to manage and protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the information content and system.
