Qatar to build new $1 billion airport in Doha
The government of Qatar has decided to invest one billion dollars in the construction of a new airport in Doha, with the capacity to handle 12.5 million passengers annually. Construction is set to begin by year’s end 2002.
A three-member Doha Airport delegation recently visited Dubai International Airport on a benchmarking trip. The Doha Airport officials, after receiving a short briefing about Dubai International Airport and the various facilities available, toured the airport and were particularly interested in the immigration and security procedure and set up here. — (menareport.com)
