Rise in trading activity in BSE for year 2000

The Beirut Stock Exchange released figures on trading activity on the bourse during the first 

11 months of 2000. Total volume reached 18.3 million shares, a 13.7 percent increase from the same period last year, while aggregate turnover amounted to $108 million, up 23.7 percent from a turnover of $87.3 million in the first 11 months of 1999. Market capitalization decreased 3.28 percent year-on-year to $1.595 billion. --( Lebanon Invest )
