Saudi Arabia: First Gulf Women Real Estate Shopping Festival

According to the Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper, more than 40 Gulf and Saudi real estate companies and 15,000 businesswomen are expected to participate in the First Gulf Women Real Estate Shopping Festival, which will start in Riyadh on March 26 and will last four days. Mr. Ibrahim Saidan, Director General of Ibrahim Saidan Real Estate Company, expects this festival to increase by 10% the real estate investments by women.

Mr. Raed Al-Asimi, Chairman of Smart Managerial Investments Company, which organizes the festival, said that that the First Gulf Women Real Estate Shopping Festival enhances the businesswomen' ability to manage their funds and enables them to independently make up their investment decisions. The festival eliminates the physiological fears of businesswomen who run their own investments. Women currently control no more than 30% of the real estate investments in Saudi Arabia.
