Saudi energy sector needs $91 billion to boost production
The Saudi Ministry of Electricity and Industry reported that the energy sector will need 340 billion Saudi Riyals ($91 billion) in funds to boost its capacity by 2023, reported Al-Hayat . The government is planning to privatize the Kingdom’s energy networks and to make them available for private sector investment. Saudi officials asserted that the electricity sector will soon be opened to private Saudi investors in the same fashion as the electricity generating sector is available to outside investments. — (menareport.com)
