Tunisian stocks mixed as SFBT gains, Siphat falls
TUNIS, (Reuters) - Tunisian shares closed mixed on Monday, May 28, as a rebound by blue chips SFBT and Sotetel offset losses by drugs maker Siphat and other stocks, traders said.
The Tunindex benchmark added 2.74 points, or 0.20 percent, to close at 1,387.72 points, with turnover of 3.08 million dinars compared to 2.05 million on Friday.
Losers led gainers 17 to six with seven remaining unchanged.
"The recovery of SFBT and Sotetel from a slide of 4.9 percent and 1.66 percent respectively last week boosted volumes ...just enough to offset losses elsewhere, including a deep slump by Siphat," a broker said.

Telecommunications engineering group Stetel was up 0.59 percent to 135.8 dinars after 336 shares changed hands.
Drugs maker Siphat slumped 22.39 percent in profit-taking in small volume of 46,600 dinars after rising 24 percent last week.
Airline Tunisair closed 1.46 percent down on a turnover of 245,976 dinars after gains on an unconfirmed newspaper report that it planned to sell ageing planes to cut losses.
Blue chip bank Banque Internationale Arabe de Tunisie inched down 0.8 percent to 21.5 dinars in a trading value of 101,288 dinars.
Small capitalised manufacturer Atelier Mecanique du Sahel rose almost three percent to seven dinars in turnover of 700 dinars. (1$=1.467 dinar)
