UAE's banking sector maintains healthy performance
The UAE's banking sector maintained its healthy performance in the first half of the current year with total assets of local and foreign banks increasing by a record 35 per cent to Dh536.48 billion, Central Bank figures released Wednesday indicated. According to this report, the assets of 46 banks in the country peaked at Dh536.48 billion as of June compared with Dh397.11 billion in June 2004 and Dh449.74 billion as of December 2004.
