Veritas to launch channel and training initiatives at Gitex 2002
The Middle East operations of Veritas Software Corporation is set to launch a number of channel and training initiatives at Gitex 2002, in keeping with the company's focus of providing certified enterprise storage services to organizations across the region.
In addition, top executive Lindsay Armstrong, VERITAS EMEA's senior vice president, will make a special visit to Gitex 2002 for one-on-one consultations with regional decision-makers in the telecommunications, energy, financial services, and government sectors, according to a company press release.
The new Veritas partner initiative, targeted at channel members participating in Gitex 2002, will deliver the sales and marketing tools, training, technical support and programs that enable all partners across the Middle East to maximize business opportunities and enhance their profitability with Veritas Software.
Veritas will host several of its channel partners within its Gitex 2002 exhibition stand, to demonstrate a full complement of solutions and services for attendees of the five-day Information Technology (IT) event.
“According to recent research by leading analysts such as the Gartner Group, the average customer will buy 100 percent more storage this year than last, and half of all IT budgets are spent on storage. Businesses in the Middle East are carefully scrutinizing their IT spending to ensure that they maximize their existing storage resources, and increasingly, regional companies are relying on Veritas software to gain the greatest performance from their storage infrastructure,” noted Mike Hynes, Veritas Middle East regional manager.
With 5,700 employees in 36 countries and revenue of $1.5 billion in 2001, Veritas Software ranks among the top 10 software companies in the world. Veritas Software is an international storage software company, providing data protection, storage management, high availability and disaster recovery software to 86 percent of the Fortune 500. — (menareport.com)
