Yemen received $638 million foreign aid in 2000
A senior Yemeni official recently stated that Yemen had received $638 million in foreign aid during the course of the year 2000, reported the Al-Hayat> daily.
The Yemeni Undersecretary of Planning and International Cooperation, Hesham Sharaf Abdullah, added that 21 percent of the total aid granted to Yemen was in the form of financial assistance and awards, while the rest came in the form of loans or loan guarantees. ― (MENA Report)
