Canon Middle East, leader in imaging solutions, has started off the year by holding a Strategic Meeting for its employees at the Banyan Tree resort in Ras Al Khaimah to discuss the company’s strategies, directions, focus areas and key targets for 2011.
The get-together was an excellent follow-through to Canon Middle East’s Partner Conference in November 2010 during which the company outlined its business objectives and new growth targets for this year to around 100 partners from 24 MENA region countries. Canon Middle East has been able to post positive market share growth over the past two years and intends to sustain the momentum through 2011 and beyond.
The Banyan Tree – a desert resort which includes a 60-hectare natural reserve – was chosen as the venue to reflect Canon Middle East’s commitment to environmental responsibility. Activities such as a recycling session were held to promote an eco-friendly mindset throughout the corporate community.
Anurag Agrawal, Managing Director of Canon Middle East, said: “We have certainly begun 2011 on a high note, carrying forward the momentum from last year. The key now is to take advantage of fresh business opportunities and address new challenges. We will be focusing on areas such as end-user targeted marketing initiatives, reinforcing our ‘closer to customers’ strategy, strengthening core personnel, delivering new projects and satisfying emerging demand. We also look forward to further enhancing the level of efficiency and productivity of the entire organisation.”
Established as a Regional Sales Office in January of 2000, Canon Middle East has emerged as one of the region’s major providers of world-class products and solutions for the digital home and office. Canon’s strong performance in the Arab markets is largely attributed to key directions it pursued in 2009 and 2010.
