On 28 February 2011 two of the world’s best minds will converge to speak to leading CEOs and business leaders during du’s CEO Forum – a first of its kind initiative in the region. With a focus on innovation and leadership, the event builds on the enthusiastic response received last year. It is the second session under the du Leadership Series, through which du aims to bring the UAE’s top business leaders together at a series of forums.
“Following the tremendous response to our first-ever CEO Forum last year, we are delighted to present the second CEO Forum. This initiative provides a platform that expands horizons by combining industry expertise in the world of innovation and leadership and giving UAE businesses the opportunity to meet their fellow peers, innovators and key decision makers from the UAE and region. I am delighted to introduce Robin Sharma and Pranav Mistry as our key presenters at the event ; these two visionaries embody our belief that innovation and leadership go hand in hand, resulting in outstanding achievements; at du we endeavour to reflect this in our comprehensive business propositions,” commented Osman Sultan, CEO, du.
Presenting at the forum will be Robin Sharma, widely acknowledged as one of the world’s most trusted leadership advisors, having achieved the prestigious Top Five Leadership Speaker Award as well as the Top Five Leadership Guru Award. He will be presenting on “Lead without a title – the new way to win in business”. Robin Sharma is the author of bestselling novels ‘The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari’ and ‘The Leader Who Had No Title’.
Promising to enthrall the audience is Pranav Mistry from MIT Media Lab, who has been hailed as one of the best present-day inventors in the world. He will be giving a live demonstration of “Invisible Computing” based on his phenomenal SixthSense - a concept that merges the real world with the digital world.
As part of the leadership series, du aims to host a number of CIO forums and round-table discussions each year, which will bring in some of the world's foremost leaders to speak on a variety of subjects including capital management, strategy, human capital and technology, among others.
