Lebanon's northern city of Tripoli is rapidly becoming the "mailbox" for concerned Middle Eastern states as they notify their displeasure with their rivals through violence. The once peaceful neighbourhoods of Tripoli are increasingly being drawn into regional conflict as they prepare for a spillover of the Syrian crisis.
While the Lebanese Army reinforced its presence in the city of Tripoli Sunday, six people died as week-long fatal fighting between the Sunni Bab al-Tabbaneh and Alawite Jabal Mohsen neighborhoods continued. Lebanese MPs further accused the city's lawmakers for "failing to restore security."
