The Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment (DEPE), an agency under the Dubai Department of Economic Development and the organizer of the event, has outlined an ambitious marketing plan targeting regional and international markets.
DEPE said in a statement that Dubai Shopping Festival 2011 would further enhance the theme of 'One World. One Family. One Festival' through an extensive calendar of events focusing on the main attributes of the event: shopping, winning, and festivities, thereby transforming Dubai into a world that brings together families from different nationalities for one celebration.
This year's campaign, 'Make the Celebrations Yours', reflects the connection between the festival's entertainment and celebratory activities. Visitors can look forward to enjoying their time with their families in Dubai during the festival which is known to be the longest global event of such nature in the world. The festival attracts large numbers of visitors and tourists from the UAE and abroad.
The campaign extends an invitation to multi-national visitors and residents to participate in the festival and fully enjoy Dubai's exquisite tourist attractions, entertainment facilities, premium hotels and an unparalleled infrastructure.
Since its inception in 1996, Dubai Shopping Festival has been seeking to enhance Dubai's stance as a leading global tourist and business destination, in line with the ambitious vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of Dubai and Ruler of Dubai. The festival, the first of its kind in the region, has achieved remarkable success as a result of the close cooperation among the government and private sectors.
The festival has gained international popularity as it created a unique example in the festivals industry, through exquisite shopping and entertainment opportunities and the prospects of winning many valuable prizes. The theme of the festival 'One World. One family. One Festival' reflects the growing interest of visitors from all over the world in the event year after year.
