The evening focused on rewarding outstanding achievements of employees and departments
Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB), the world’s first Islamic bank and the largest Sharia-compliant financial institution in the UAE, recently marked its 36th anniversary with a celebratory event for its employees. The event, held at the World Trade Centre, Dubai, was presided over by His Excellency Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director-General of His Highness The Ruler’s Court of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Islamic Bank.
Attended by DIB Board members, senior management and employees, the event combined entertainment, games and prizes followed by the Performance Excellence award ceremony for DIB employees. The Dubai Islamic Bank Performance Excellence Awards were launched in 2002, creating a platform for internal development among DIB staff in order to provide the highest standards of service and customer satisfaction. The award focuses on rewarding outstanding achievements of employees and departments. Awards were also presented for long service.
“DIB is an institution that has made history and paved the way for modern Islamic Banking,” said Abdulla Al Hamli, CEO, DIB. “This event is an opportunity for the Board and the management to thank everyone in the bank for their hard work and effort which has made DIB the number one Islamic institution in the UAE.”
