Bruce Lee has made a comeback in the form of an Afghan lookalike whose striking resemblance to the martial arts legend has taken the internet by storm.
The 21-year-old Abbas Alizada, also known as “Bruce Hazara,” nunchucked his way to internet fame after posting a video of himself doing backflips and other famous Lee moves.
Inspired by Bruce Lee action films aged 14, the young fan began practising martial arts despite growing up in poverty from a family of ten children.
“When I posted photos on my Facebook, people started talking about my similarity with Bruce Lee.
“I think Bruce Lee was a role model, as an athlete and as a character. I may not be Bruce Lee, but I’ll follow his footsteps as long as I live,” Alizada told the BBC.
While the aspiring martial artist dreams of being famous, his enthusiam for Bruce Lee can only be positive for Afghanistan.
