How very fascinating how all the bits and pieces found can open 'new windows' into Egypt's ancient past.

These kinds of discoveries are very important to giving us further understanding of the development of chariots and, specifically, in ancient Egypt. The Hyksos invasion, for instance, could not have happened without their mastery of horse-drawn chariots. I only wish that the Egyptian Museum in Cairo had head of COMPUTERS -- hey -- try doing a comprehensive drawer by drawer searchable inventory. Wouldn't that be very helpful? I don't understand how these items have been mouldering away in a drawer or storeroom for years!

It has always been the opinion that chariots were introduced by way of the Hyksos in the 2nd Intermediate Dynasty. Have they actually dated these 'chariot pieces' to the Old Kingdom?
