Dubai grabs celeb attention for Kim as 99% of world attention on social inequality

Celebrity spotters were out in force over the weekend to grab a glimpse of reality TV queen, Kim Kardashian.
Yesterday, the star of ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ met with a select group of lucky fans at the Millions of Milkshakes store in Dubai Mall, which she opened the day earlier. She also attended a meet and greet event at Sephora, where she was set to sign bottles of her perfume.
Security was tight at the mall. And while many fans got their chance to see the curvy star, either inside the stores or at a live Q&A at the Fashion Catwalk area on Friday, few would have gone to the lengths of two unlucky fans.
Baida Mann, 16, and pal Abdelraheem Badiker, 15, arrived at the Milkshake store yesterday afternoon, seconds after the 30-year-old was whisked away with her mother, manager Kris Jenner, amid a huge security presence.
The pair claimed to have spent the last two days going without sleep to engineer a meeting with the TV star.
Baida, from London, smiled and said: “We have not slept for 32 hours straight, we’re tired. We were at the Atlantis because we knew she was staying there in a big suite - so we stayed there on the sofa right next to the elevator for 16 hours where we thought she was staying.
“At 8pm we asked someone ‘when is she coming out?’ And they answered, ‘What do you mean? She has already left’.”
Sudanese fan Abdelraheem added: “We just wanted to see her in real life. We’ve seen her in TV shows, so we
wanted to see what she was like.
“We’ve watched on TV for so long and we just wanted to come down and see her.”
