In America, there is a basic legal principle called a "presumption of innocence": a Person accused of an unlawful action is presumed to be INNOCENT until PROVEN guilty.

If Egypt has definitive PROOF that these items were stolen, they should immediately hand that proof over to INTERPOL. If Egypt has no definitive proof that the items were stolen (only assumptions, speculation, innuendo, and wishful thinking), their complaints should be ignored. If Egypt has definitive PROOF that the items were stolen, their complaints should be acted upon.

In either case, there is no reason to delay or cancel the auction. The presumption of innocence is paramount.
