Legal hell over for Jordanian students accused of devil worship

The students were cleared of all charges, including devil worship and desecrating the Koran
Five university students have been released and cleared of all charges after a Jordanian military tribunal found no evidence to convict them, AFP reported.
"The court declared the students innocent and ordered them freed for lack of evidence," a court official told AFP.
The students at Al-Bayt University in northeast Jordan were detained in March after a mob of students accused them of desecrating the Koran and engaging in devil worship. They were subsequently charged with "doctrinal and sectarian incitement".
Incitement carries a penalty of 3 years imprisonment under Jordanian law.
