Activists try to cut Egypt-Myanmar relations after Muslim massacre

‘Stop killing Muslims in Burma', 'The minority have the right to live', 'No to Racism', 'Close the Embassy' were the messages written in English and Arabic on placards in a protest held outside the Myanmar Embassy in Cairo on Wednesday.
This protest, made by dozens of people, came as a response to the brutal massacre in Burma. "We should act against this massacre – not just feel sympathy, but do something to help them," said Shaimaa Maged, a lecturer at Cairo University, who organised the protest.
"With this protest, we want to press our government to cut relations with Myanmar, unless it stops the massacres against Muslims there," she told The Egyptian Gazette.
It is two months since the massacre of Muslims started in Arakan, the western province of Burma (Myanmar). It all began on June 3, when 11 Muslims were killed by extremist Buddhists with the alleged assistance of the Burmese Army, after forcing them to alight from a bus. Myanmar security forces opened fire on Rohingya Muslims. They also raped women and stood by as rival mobs attacked each other during a recent wave of sectarian violence, the New York-based Human Rights Watch (HRW) said in a report on Wednesday.
The authorities failed to protect both Muslims and Buddhists and then "unleashed a campaign of violence and mass roundups against the Rohingya", it said. Hundreds of Rohingya men and boys have been rounded up and remain incommunicado in the western region of the country, formerly known as Burma.
"It is our role as Muslims to stand beside each other against injustice," said Hoda Ahmed, an Iraqi woman living in Cairo, who joined in the protest with her family, having learnt about it via Facebook. Because there were no officials at the Embassy at the time of the protest, the protesters wrote messages in English expressing their anger about the situation in Burma and put them in the Embassy's letterbox.
"We will hold another protest on August 10 with the participation of people from many strata of society. We may also meet with the Ambassador, to try and end this massacre," said an angry Shaimaa.

all read, all of our muslim brothers are writing wrong things, and they are hiding the facts purposefully. Muslims in burma are safe and peaceful there. but Rohingya group (meanningly terrorists groups in muslims) are going violating all religious/ national rules and regulations. any way they have to suffer the punishment. brothers, understand what the wrong things they done in country only terorism/ rape/ killing etc only. dont close your eyes and swallow the lies. here budhists are innocents and they are poor in money. and the rohingyas are killing these budhists. you really surprised .

Muslim countries should not be waiting, watching and condeming this. The need to pick the fat backsides up off their wives help these brothers and sisters. THIS IS ABSOLUTLEY DISGUSTING!!! How any country, leader or influential person, whether they are msuslim or not, can sit back and let this happen without acting is beyond me.
There is the cause in everything. Please learn the full story before talking rubbish. The sentence about joined in the protest base on the mere information from Facebook make me really frustrated . How many percentage can guarantee that the information from Facebook is true?
The current situation in Myanmar is not the religious affair. It's Rohingya Terrorist attacking. The houses from the villages are burn down and local Rakhine people are also attacked and killed by these Rohingya . Around 98% of residence in Maung Daw are Rohingyas so they are not minority at that location. Rohingya refugee are attacking the minority of native Rakhine peoples. This is the Foreign Invasion and nothing to do with religious conflict. Myanmar give shelter and food to Rohingya from a long time since they are homeless and nowhere to go. Because of this sympathy , Myanmar is bitten by the guest dog on the own land.
We are living peacefully with the Muslim society who stay inside Myanmar. Until now , we still living in harmony with them. Even our Muslim friends from inside the country can stay peacefully with Burmese yet the Muslim from other countries jump up and down for these issue with the name under human rights. Myanmar government is listened to the sound from desired and heart of the native Burmese and ethics inside Myanmar and responded to it by saying that " Rohingya are not burmese ethic and they are refugee from outside ". So, do not force us to do this and to do that by force of high power countries. It won't work anyway.
So , we would like to request those UN people and all the foreign countries and all the people asking for human right if you all have concerns and try to help these refugees please give a land to accept them ,give the citizenship to them and then give all the aids as you much as want to them. Right now , Myanmar have to do a lot of things for development phase and we cannot sit on this issue anymore. So , please give a helping hand to those poor people and share your land to give shelter for them.

This massacre is huge, very cruel and most silent as world media has totally ignored it.Thousands of Rohingya muslims have been killed and lacs are either waiting for thier end or leaving burma to take shelter in some other country.Arabs and Muslim world has to act STRONG andFAST as west and world has no interest in this, this once again shows thier double standard when it comes to justice for muslims.Also remember most of world media has high Israili influence.

The violence erupted in early June after reports circulated that on May 28 an Arakan Buddhist woman was raped and killed in the town of Ramri by three Muslim men. (www.hrw.org)
From the June violence between Rakhine Buddhists and Muslim Rohingya that left at least 78 dead and tens of thousands homeless (Both sides!). So there is no genocide and not only Muslims were killed but Rakhine Buddhist too!
