Baby burkas: Fatwa Sheikh tells Saudi tots to cover up

A Saudi cleric has called for all female babies to be fully covered by wearing the face veil, commonly known as the burka, citing reports of little girls being sexually molested.
In a TV interview on the Islamic Al-Majd TV, which seems to date back to mid-last year, Sheikh Abdullah Daoud, stressed that wearing the veil will protect baby girls. The Sheikh tried to back his assertion with claims of sexual molestation against babies in the kingdom, quoting unnamed medical and security sources.
Recently picked up on social media, sheikh Dauod’s statement prompted wide condemnation from his fellow Saudis on Twitter. Some tweeps called for the Sheikh to be held accountable because his ruling denigrates Islam and breaches individual privacy.
Sheikh Mohammad Al-Jzlana, former judge at the Saudi Board of Grievances, told Al Arabiya that Dauod’s ruling was denigrating to Islam and Shariah and made Islam look bad.
Jjzlana urged people to ignore unregulated fatwas and explained that there are special regulations set by the Saudi authorities to administer religious edicts and appoint those who are entitled to issue them.
He said that he feels sad whenever he sees a family walking around with a veiled baby, describing that as injustice to children.

Once more, the innocent are treated as criminals by restricting their rights against the immoral and the unstable.
Burkas for babies because its their fault that saidi grown men cant control themselves. Makes sense. When you have a society that doesnt teach itself how to think properly then you end up with laws and rules made to try and fix a bigger problem. The only reason this guy went and said what he said that babies should wear burkas is because himself probably is tempted at the sight of babies and doesnt see it as something wrong with himself. Its too bad sick men are in charge of making laws a d rules for everyone in a society that if it were to point things like this out about their leaders would result in further oppresion. One day the united states will rule the world and we can all live normally without freaks like this telling us what our babies must wear cause he wants to molest them.
As a non-Muslim, I do not like burkas at all. I think MEN should learn to control their desires sufficiently so that WOMEN don't have to walk around wearing tents. As for "baby burkas:" are muslim men so unable to control themselves as moral, mature adults, that a baby girl, who should (while she is allowed to!) be able to feel the sun and the breeze, must be punished "for her own good" with wearing a burka from the time she's born? What a cruel, shameless idea!
As a Muslim (man), I do not like burkas at all. I think MEN should learn to control their desires sufficiently so that WOMEN don't have to walk around wearing tents. :) Don't confuse this for Islam.
Wow, what a story. One wonders why Sheikh Abdullah Daoud wants little girls covered. Perhaps he himself sees them as sexual objects? While we're on the subject why do some muslim men want to hide all their females away and have control over them like this? If a man feels sexual attraction when looking at a woman his emotions ARE NOT HER RESPONSIBILITY. Stating that they are allows a man to rape a woman and yet to be blameless. And religious people say that there would be no morality without religion . . .
