Sharon Stone: Middle East peace process like 'going to the gym'
The Middle East peace process is akin to forcing yourself to go to the gym. At least that’s what Hollywood star Sharon Stone thinks.
“We can have peace in the Middle East now, the minute that we just do it,” Stone said in comments recorded on video during a trip to Israel where she attended President Shimon Peres’ annual conference about Israel’s place in the world.
“It’s like going to the gym, when do you not want to be fat? Today? When do you want to be in shape? Today? When do you want to stop being mean? How about today?”
The "Basic Instinct" star made the comments as she visited children at Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital, and was asked about the chances peace in the conflict-ridden region.
“I think there can be peace in the Middle East any minute that you choose to have it,” Stone told reporters.
