Eldad Calls for Jordan to Become Palestinian State
Jordan's Independence Day is comemorated today, that is Wednesday, not Tuesday 24th May, as this provocative, even audacious, post mistakenly contends:
"A number of Israeli activists marked Jordan’s Independence Day on Tuesday by attempting to present the Jordanian embassy in Ramat Gan with a petition to transform the Hashemite Kingdom the official national homeland of the Palestinian people."
The group then goes on to back up this serious demand with its fallacious and arguably red-herring rationale:
"there is already a Palestinian state in Jordan. 80% of the Jordanian people are Palestinians and it is built on 65% of the Jewish homeland allocated in the Balfour Declaration and given to us [by the League of Nations] at the San Remo conference."

Saudi Arabia: Culture Trumps Islam
"Saudi Arabia is viewed as home to the holiest sites in Islam and all Saudis are naturally born Muslims. One might expect that Islam would be foremost in the lives of Saudis and practices of Islam would take precedence. However expectations do not always lead to realities. For example, in Islam a woman does have the right to choose her future husband. She also has the right to turn down a suiter. She is not to be forced into a marriage against her will."

Mubarak To Criminal court “Graphic”
We wonder how such a sentence might affect other regional revolutions:
"As I have expected and as I have predicted Hosni Mubarak is put on trial and is expected to be transferred to Cairo in hours to stand in front of criminal court as some source claimed."

Sami’s broken finger
More from Jordan and its abusive teachers (If you recall that verbally or psychologically bullying teacher that reduced the young pupil to a quaking state of tears, here in the Kingdom some months back.) Now a physical case of abuse, in the absence of even a wrong-doing, that proves that this was not an isolated case. Physical abuse is always a more charged or taboo subject,, particularly where children or women victim, and risks causing a furor.
Last time Queen Rania got involved after a whistle-blower leaked a video on the internet. This time, the staff implicated seem to have tried to resolve the matter privately.
"Away from politics, away from the Arab world’s saddening but hopeful affairs, away from the clear lack of citizenship that is becoming more visible in Jordan these days. In a small neighborhood in the heart of East Amman, I saw Sami walking alone in the middle of day."
