Leading Dubai jewellery outlets witness brisk sales through massive promotions

Dubai’s leading gold and jewellery retail outlets have intensified the shopping excitement in DSF 2009 by coming up with spectacular promotions and prizes worth millions of dirhams. Renowned jewellery retailers such as Damas, Pure Gold, Atlas Jewellery, and Joy Alukkas have witnessed an increase in sales through promotions organized specially for the festival that ends on February 15, 2009.

In a change of format from previous retail group promotions, individual outlets designed value-for-money offers to boost sales during this DSF. While prizes worth AED 1.1 million were given during DSF 2008 through gold promotions, this year’s initiative was spearheaded by the DSF Office in cooperation with leading jewellers.  

Laila Suhail, CEO of DSF Office said, “The gold and jewellery sector is an integral part of Dubai’s retail industry and the economy as a whole, and given Dubai’s reputation as the City of Gold, promotions launched during DSF will provide a real incentive for shoppers and jewellery outlets to the same effect.”

“The value of prizes and the scale of promotions offered this year are by themselves an indication of how retail outlets can use DSF as a platform to successfully reach out to customers,” she said.

The combined number of retail outlets in the promotion forms a significant part of the total jewellery outlets in Dubai, thus making it easy for shoppers to be part of the exciting campaign.

Damas
As part of DSF promotions, Damas is giving away a massive 20 kilos of gold as prizes through offers in 114 outlets. For every purchase of AED 500, customers are entitled to one coupon that can give the chance to win gold every day.

Joy Alukkas
Joy Alukkas Jewellery is giving away 10 BMW cars as part of promotions organized during DSF 2009. The promotion is one among the biggest giveaways organized this year.

Pure Gold
Pure Gold, another leading jewellery retailer, is offering a whopping 55 per cent discount on selected jewellery in addition to a diamond ring for every purchase worth AED 2999.

Atlas Jewellery
