Rick Astley alive, despite fake report
Posted: 30-06-2009 , 11:05 GMT

A CNN iReport said today, “Astley's body was found at the Angleterre Hotel in Berlin after an ambulance responded to an emergency call from his hotel room.  He was found unconscious in his hotel bedroom and was unable to be resuscitated. He was pronounced dead on the scene.”

However, the story did not appear on any official news sources. Astely wrote on his website that he is fine and is willing to perform in “your area.”

CNN iReport does not filter its user-submitted stories, which has left it open to such fake reports.Over the past week, fake news reports have reported that such stars as Jeff Goldblum, George Clooney, and Natalie Portman had died.
