Young Egyptian artist May Salim was chosen by the Egyptian Opera House to sing for the first time at the annual summer season festival. The music festival, held in July, will feature a number of great music artists with strong and beautiful voices.mai


 According to the London daily Elaph, May said that singing at the Opera house is a confirmation of her talent. The young artist said that she knows the audience at the Opera House will differ from those she is used to when singing at beach resorts, but she truly believes in her ability to give her best performance.


 On the other hand, May is getting ready to film a music video clip for her song “Ehlawat Al Ayam” (The Days Are Getting Better). Filming will take place in Lebanon under the young director Mousa Issa, the nephew of director Tareq Al Aryan. The song is written by Muhammad Atef, composed by Rami Jamal and distributed by Fahed, who also created a remix of the song.


 May is soon to star in her first film, “The Dealer” with the famous Egyptian actor Ahmad Al Saqa. May denies circulating rumors that she appears nude in a several scenes in the film.   She said that she would not appear nude to gain fame.

 

 May plays the role of a dancer in the film, traveling with a local group to perform.

 

 May will travel to Turkey in the coming days and then to the Ukraine to film some of the film scenes. The filming is almost complete.
