Angham banned from singing in Tunisia
Posted: 04-09-2008 , 16:40 GMT

The famous Egyptian singer Angham is officially banned from singing in Tunisia.
During a recent press conference before her appearance at the Carthage Music Festival, journalists at the conference asked Angham to apologize for the incident that happened to their colleagues.   angham

Two years ago journalists were prevented from going behind the scenes during her Tunisian concert. When the journalists tried to go behind the stage, Angham’s security started beating them.

Angham again refused to apologize, stating that she was unaware of the incident and will not apologize for something that someone else did.

I think that certain media outlets are trying to mask the truth through posting news items detailing a supposed and exaggerated dispute between Tunisian journalists and Mrs. Angham. The truth that many are trying to hide is the mean performance of the Egyptian singer at the time of her concert during the international festival of Carthage. It should be noted in this context that Tunisian journalists have suffered many aggressions and hostilities during many concerts (mainly those organised by the Rotana), notably the concert of Kathem Saher, yet the artists managed to attract a large audience, sang excellently to a full house and received the appreciation of both the public and the press.
