The young artist Somayah who is 19 years and known as “Shireen lookalike”, stressed that she is nothing like the famous Egyptian artist Shireen Abed al Wahab and added that her music and singing style is very different. 
Somayah who is the daughter of the Egyptian local singer Darweesh said that she was discovered to have a singing talent when she was only six years old. Her father would take her with him to wherever he performed.
According to the Jordanian daily Al Rai, Somayah revealed that she had a tough life and that she is very depressed and feels suffocated especially since she is with a production company that won’t allow her to be free and sing as she wishes.
