Bush: Nuclear Iran can lead to WWIII
Posted: 17-10-2007 , 18:51 GMT

bushUS President George W. Bush on Wednesday claimed that a World War III is possible, if Tehran acquires nuclear technology.

"We got a leader in Iran who has announced that he wants to destroy Israel. So I've told people that if you're interested in avoiding World War III, it seems like you ought to be interested in preventing them from have the knowledge necessary to make a nuclear weapon. I take the threat of Iran with a nuclear weapon very seriously. And we'll continue to work with all nations about the seriousness of this threat."

Bush added he will speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the Iranian threat. "I'm looking forward to getting President Putin's read-out from the meeting (with Iranian officials in Tehran)," said Bush in a press conference, claiming he was not worried by the growing ties between Tehran and Moscow.

While the Russian leader has warned the White House against any military actions against Iran, President Bush is trying to rally Moscow's support for tougher measures against Tehran.  "It's important for the Iranian people to know we harbor no resentment to them. We're disappointed in the Iranian government's actions, as should they be. Inflation is way too high; isolation is causing economic pain. This is a country that has got a much better future, people have got a much better -- should have better hope inside Iran than this current government is providing them," he said.

There is a large population of US population that is against our current administration. This is about oil, profit, war, and keeping the dollar as the major currency used to trade oil. I speak for millions when I say, "Dump the dollar!", at this point we deserve it for our less than noble actions. The US is no longer what most of it's people envisioned. It is just as corrupt as nations we "deplore". I love our country, I hate our government. I have one question for our "Christian" president, "Who would Jesus bomb?"

Ever heard of the stock market. What is on the stock market, Gee people pensions, RRSP? As for oil, quite complaining and buy a horse and buggy instead of driving a car. Quit buying oil then. China, Russia, Europe all has their own stocks; Business also are on the stock market. Buy a chev lately. The shareholders get a piece of the stock. Cause it is on the market. So do not drive. POP on the stock market. Etc. As for bush no he is not corrupt, they hate Israel, wipe off the map. Hitler tried this once. However if above was a Christian he would understand why the world will never get any better.

I do understand why the world will not get better. It is because of religion, and Christians are just as much to blame, as is any other group. As you stated above, if I was a Christian, I'd understand. I am a Christian, and I understand perfectly. Are we not to turn the other cheek? Are we not to love our enemies? It is hard to want to destroy a nation of people that TRULY want to help you... Not just occupy, squander resources (money, oil, souls, etc) for political and personal gain. There were no WMD's (just weapons of mass distraction). I just got reduce to 250 characters... go figure.

It is true that we could just stop driving (but let's get REAL), it would be much easier to rid ourselves of foreign dependence- if technology currently available was ACTUALLY available in the US, and if we used our OWN oil instead of capping off the "reserves" for a "rainy day"... IT IS POURING OUTSIDE PEOPLE!!!

The USA reduced the stringency laws pertaining to mercury in our environment, but require the most stringent diesel fuel requirements in the WORLD... Where are electric cars? Henry Ford had one! But that is here nor there, it is just a ruse to change the subject which is, we have a president that was not voted in by the majority (don't get me started on the electoral college! That was when votes were delivered by HORSE as you mention above) but was appointed by a court in which he set up the members of. Hail BUSH! Go Patriot Act! Bush just signed a document that would give him ultimate power if HE deems the reason is necessary.

Do you not see what is happening before your eyes- or are you watching DANCING WITH THE STARS tonight? For the amount of $money$ spent on this joke of 2 wars WE started, the US could have rebuilt its infrastructure, fed every hungry child and given them healthcare, we could ALL have healthcare PAID for. Social security is a joke I'll never see the dividends from... I'm jumping all over the place to show that there are enough problems WITHIN our borders to take care of let alone try to "cowboy-up" the rest of the world! So before you judge- look into your heart of hearts and ask yourself, "Are you truly OK with what is happening HERE (and abroad?)"

Thank you for reading- I have no other voice in which to explain my feelings. I feel trapped! China keeps everything so under wraps, but we do the opposite. We BLAST so much stuff to our people no one even seems to care any longer- We are slowly going deaf... God bless ALL, not just the USA...

I'm sure Bush was not threatening WWIII but warning of it. Because of the corruption in the middle east, allowing them the knowlege of nuclear weapons would be dangerous to many countries of the world. I hate that people always take things out of context and don't seriously think about the situation on hand. It doesn't matter what started the war, that was years ago, what matters now is what is happening now and is going to happen in the future. Think about it.

Strange that United States using nuclear weapons on millions of japanese civilians (mass scale terrorism) did not spark Bush's WWIII...

That was WWII (the ending) ... and 140,000 – 200,000 is not exactly “millions” ... Perhaps if you read more history books and less wacky propaganda/conspiracy theories websites, you might (just might) have a chance to get a little educated!

Ok let's compare the US and others. You have bad people and no one is doing anything about it. The other people only care for themselves. But the teacher is like the US it helps other countries that cannot help themselves. Just like the UN is a joke (if they did care something would be done, what! Iraq attacked Iran twice and how many people died, Under taffifs for 10 years, I could go on). Fact now Russia backs Iran and blocks the Security Council. Remember Hitler. Lets see Russia or China doing something in the world instead of only caring for themselves. No it will soon be the EU I am afraid of they have to do the changes cause the UN is a joke. 27 countries now.

Zechariah 12 1. The burden of the word of the Lord for Israel, saith the Lord, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.2. Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. 3. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it

  8. In that day shall the Lord defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the Lord before them. 9. And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
