General: Iran to ”eliminate Israel from the global arena” if it was attacked
Posted: 15-04-2008 , 08:49 GMT

iranian warplanesIran would "eliminate Israel from the global arena" if it was attacked by the Jewish state, the deputy commander of the army Mohammad Reza Ashtiani warned on Tuesday, the Mehr news agency reported. Ashtiani was speaking ahead of Iran's national army day on Thursday when a major military parade is expected in Tehran.

"We are not worried by Israeli manoeuvres, but if Israel takes such action against the Islamic Republic of Iran, we will eliminate it from the global arena," General Ashtiani was quoted as saying at a news conference.

His remarks come a week after Israeli National Infrastructure Minister Benjamin Ben-Eliezer warned that any Iranian attack against Israel "would lead to the destruction of the Iranian nation."

» So is this an admission?

Can we take this threat as an admission by Iran that it posses nuclear weapons? and if so, may we ask why it lied to the UN when it said it only seeks non-weapon nuclear technology? But then I suppose only a fool or the UN would have believed them anyway...

If Israel can have nuclear weapon, why not Iran? If you want to have war, at least have it fairly. You don't want to be called a coward, right?

If you argue that in 'fairness' sake everyone should be allowed to have WMD then you are either stupid or suicidal, because even if you think that Achmadinijad is a responsible or even sane person, you must realise that his allies, like hizbolla, are NOT. Do you want to 'live' in a world in which Nassralla has WMD? In case you are unable to understand the consequences let me spell it out for you: in the next nuclear war you and all that is dear to you WILL DIE! ohh and in case you wish to be a shahid, there has been a mistake. You will not get 72 virgins but 1 72 years old virgin!

and pigs fly... have you not been listening to what has been coming out of Iran in recent years? If you could find one item of truth in there you may apply for a reward... But you are unlikely to notice this if you are an Ahmadinijad admirer...

Happy 60th birthday to a nation that has stolen land, hurls missiles at rock throwers, and murders innocent people. Israel a great democracy? I don't think so!
