Iraqi merchants affirmed the importance of Dubai as a central hub for Iraqi imports. According to them, 60% of the Iraqi needs from abroad come through Dubai, reported Al-Bayan newspaper. As for the Iraqi imports of electronics, electrical equipment, cars, construction materials and foodstuff, 80% of them are re-exported to the country through Dubai.
