<i>Al-Bayan</i> newspaper reported on the creation of a special committee to examine security for oil wells and pipelines nationwide. The paper quoted Iraqi Oil Minister Eng. Thamir ‘Abbas al-Ghadhbon who said recently that his ministry initiated the creation of this committee and that its purpose will be to examine the installation of a technologically modern security and fire prevention systems for all the oil pipelines in the country.
