Posted: 02-03-2005 , 14:35 GMT

The Iraqi ministry of labor and social affairs has prepared a plan to expand the opening of special workshops to train handicaps so they can get integrated into the labor market. In this context, the general manger of the workshops and the cooperation associations for the handicap, Ali Mirshed Saloum, said that the ministry is determined to do its best to assist the handicapped by providing them with adequate work skills and helping them to gain self confidence.

Saloum revealed, according to Alkhaleej newspaper, that the ministry, after reviving the workshops, signed contracts with the private sector to employ the disabled people.
