Baghdad: Campaign to afforest new areas

Baghdad municipality has launched a large campaign to afforest new
areas in the city. A source at the municipality revealed that the campaign
is part of a comprehensive plan to prettying the Iraqi capital and
protecting its environment. The source added, according to <i>Al-Ahli</i>
newspaper, that this campaign is the first one since the fall of the previous
regime. The source indicated that the municipality will attempt to turn
as many streets as it can with green zones.
