In nine months: Iraq oil exports hit 205 million barrels

A report issued by the Iraqi oil ministry revealed that oil revenues form the beginning of the war in 2003 till now amounted to US$13.4 billion. The Iraqi oil minister announced that oil production for the last 9 months reached 205 million barrels, and the export averaged 1.5 million b/d most of it from the southern provinces, according to <i>Azzaman</i> newspaper.

 

In a related development, the Iraqi oil ministry has signed two contracts valued at US$2 million with two international companies in order to develop three oil fields . These fields are Southern and Northern Alrumeila and in Kirkuk.
